Abstract

The need for precise measurement of tire cord compression properties is essential for FEA models of tires. In this paper, the details of the Pirelli Pure Moment Dynamometer (PPMD) used for these measurements are given as well as a study on the impact of process variables on the compression properties of various reinforcement materials used in tires.
